Basic plans
Standard plan - preventive supplements for healthy individuals
It is a myth that getting enough vitamins, minerals, and essential fatty acids can be achieved through eating a varied diet.
The modern, stressful lifestyle and environmental poisoning has increased the problem by increasing the body's need for vitamins, minerals, and other nutrients. To some degree, the body learns to do with what is available, but in time, symptoms and diseases can arise as the result of nutritional needs not being met.
Not that dietary supplements should replace healthy food, but by following the standard plan for adults below, a lot of diseases could be forestalled.
Do not start out on the full dose of Vitaviva's vitamins unless you are used to taking supplements of this magnitude. Instead, you should start out on half dose and step up to full dose during the course of 1 - 2 weeks.
- 3 - 4 tablets of VitaXtra or 4 tablets of VitaMax/VitaUltra to be distributed at 2 or 3 chief meals.
- Essential fatty acids: Omega 3 (fish oil / flaxseed oil). In the form of capsules: 1 - 2 capsules (of 1000 mg. each) a day. In fluid form: 1 - 2 tbsp. a day.
- Vitamin C: 1000 mg. extra a day.
- Vitamin D: 500 I.U. (12,5 µg) extra a day.
- If necessary: Lactic acid bacteria distributed throughout the day or digestive enzymes to be taken before each meal can be of benefit if you suffer from poor or insufficient digestion.
For pregnant women: 3 tablets of "VitaMom" a day. Take with meals.
Therapeutic plan - basic supplements in case of disease
To a large extent, your body will be able to heal itself if offered the right conditions. Alternative and orthomolecular medicine offer the body the right elements of therapy. In orthomolecular medicine, treatment is based on providing the body with the right (ortho) substances (molecules); i.e. substances that the body does not perceive as being foreign. In orthomolecular disease treatment, the substances that strain the body and prevent healing are being removed (detoxified). At the same time, the body is supplied with the substances it needs in order to become capable of regenerating a healthy biochemical balance. For a period of time, it might be necessary to be supplied with these substances in large doses. However, all standard plans have limitations. These basic plans are only intended as a guide and should be adjusted according to the respective diseases and individual needs. Make sure to always consult a doctor or other competent therapist about your illness.
Do not start taking a full dose of Vitaviva's vitamins unless you are used to taking supplements of this magnitude. Start out on half dose and step up to full dose during the course of 1 - 2 weeks. The full therapeutic dose for VitaXtra is 6 tablets a day and for VitaMax/VitaUltra it is 8 tablets a day.
- 6 tablets of VitaXtra or 8 tablets of VitaMax/VitaUltra to be distributed at 2 or 3 chief meals.
- Vitamin C: 2000 mg. extra distributed at the chief meals of the day.
- Essential fatty acids: Omega 3 (fish oil / flaxseed oil). Take 2 - 4 capsules (of 1000 mg. each) or tbsp. a day in connection with meals. In fluid form: 1 - 2 tbsp. a day.
- Vitamin C: 1000 mg. extra a day.
- Vitamin D: 500-1000 I.U. (12,5-25 µg) extra a day.
- If necessary: Lactic acid bacteria distributed throughout the day or digestive enzymes to be taken before each meal can be of benefit if you suffer from poor or insufficient digestion.
Individual plan - adjusted to meet your exact needs
If you scroll up, you will find the box "Health Check" in the column to the left - with a link that takes you to a form where you can perform your own Health Check. (You can also find the link to the Health Check in the middle of the page of the VitaHealth section under "Interaction".)
After you have completed the questionnaire in the Health Check and sent the answers to us, you will receive a number of suggestions for improving your health and lifestyle. These suggestions are a specification of and a supplement to the two basic plans; but, of course, they are also only meant as a guide and should by no means replace your doctor's orders.
